Sanders Speaks at Georgetown University Africa Business Conference on Key Role of StartUps

During the Georgetown University's Annual "Africa Business," Conference, Ambassador Robin Sanders was asked to speak on the importance that both startup business and entrepreneurs are playing in Sub Saharan Africa today.  On startups she stressed that these businesses need to focus on keeping it both "simple," an "doable," initially for the first 3-5 years and ensure that they are what she calls "infrastructure-lite," in establishing their businesses no matter whether they are selling goods or services.
Prior to the Africa Business Conference, Georgetown Distinguished Diplomat in Residence, Ambassador Linda Thomas Greenfield hosted Ambassador Sanders to discusss the importance and impact of Africa small business on development, along with a book signing of Sandeds book "The Rise of Africa's Small and Medium Enterprises."
