Ambassador Sanders is TCC College Black History Month Speaker on "The New Global Landscape"

As the keynote speaker for TCC College's "I Will Step Into Greatness," during the 2018 Black History Month program, Ambassador Sanders highlighted the importance of students recognizing that they can be and do anything they set their minds to -- as long as they have a good education! Moreover, she added that it was critical for them to take advantage of their learning experiences at TCC as use those tool to address some of the global challenges in their community, or if so desire, also on the global stage.

Ambassador Sanders joins three other distinguished Ambassadors -- Ambassador Chihombori Quai, the African Union Ambassador to the United States, and Ambassador Reuben Brigety, Dean of the George Washington University Elliot School of International Affairs Studies --  at the Washington D.C. Confucius Center to discuss key issues that impact the China-Africa relationship today and how that dynamic relationship impacts US-Africa relationship. The event will be webcast nationwide to all Confucius Centers in the United States. Amb. Sanders Invited to Speak at Georgetown's Distinguish Practitioners Series, Insitute of Diplomacy

As part of its prestigious series "Distinguish Practitioners Series," at its Institute for the Study of Diplomacy (ISD) , Ambassador Robin Renee Sanders has been invited to speak at its first 2018 program to discuss not only her recent book, "The Rise of Africa's Small and Medium Size Enterprises, "but also to dialogue about current US-Africa policy and what place Africa has in U.S. public policy today as we reach the end of the first year of the Trump Administration. The invitation to speak at the event was extended by former U.S. Assistant Secretary of State, Ambassador Linda Thomas Greenfield, who

is currently the Institute's distinguished  Africa

 Studies Fellow and also moderated the event.

The two hour World Affairs Council (WAC)"Author Series" program on the impact of Africa's small businesses (better known as SMEs) on development and growing the region's middle class featured the immediate past United States Assistant Secretary of State for Africa, Ambassador Linda Thomas Greenfield, and Ambassador Robin Renee Sanders with the latter book, "The Rise of Africa's Small and Medium Size Enterprises," being the featured book for the WAC November, 2017 program. The program was opened by the WAC of Washington, D.C. President Anthony R. Culley-Foster, and the Honorable Ambassador to the African Union, Arikana Chihombori Quao, was not only in attendance, but shared comments with the audience on the importance of Africans and Africans in the Diaspora not forgetting the devastating impact of the history of the Continent from the Berlin Conference of 1800s to today which has affected the development of the   region,  adding that Africans and Africans in the Diaspora must be  united as one voice. #AfricaSMEs.
